Best Papers Competition:
We are delighted to welcome you to the 21st International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing (IIHMSP 2025), to be held in Taichung, Taiwan, on October 15–17, 2025. Since its first event in Melbourne, Australia, in 2005, the IIHMSP conference series has been held in many countries such as the USA, Taiwan, China, Japan, Germany, Greece, Australia, and South Korea. Over the years, the conference has fostered fruitful collaborations and delivered meaningful impacts on both the research community and society.
The IIHMSP 2025 provides a forum for researchers, engineers, and scientists to exchange the latest research outcomes and to discuss topics such as information hiding, multimedia signal processing, the application of artificial intelligence in multimedia and signal processing, and information technology. This year, we received 153 submissions from more than six countries. Each submission was evaluated by at least two referees. To ensure the high quality of papers at IIHMSP 2025, we have made every effort to accomplish the following tasks:
-
Similarity check for each submission: Authors are required to upload a similarity report. If an author does not provide one, we use the Turnitin system to check the similarity score in accordance with academic ethics. When the overall similarity score of a submitted paper exceeds 20%, we notify the author to revise the paper and remind them that failure to do so may result in exclusion from the Springer Digital Library and other indexes (EI/Scopus).
-
Format check for each submission: To ensure the quality of papers, we carefully review and revise every submission to comply with the Springer conference format. As a result, all papers submitted to the Springer conference book now meet the required format.
-
Licence to Publish form check: For each paper submitted to the Springer conference book, we verify the signed Licence to Publish form to ensure that it meets Springer’s publication requirements.
After completing the above efforts, a total of 96 papers (excluding 10 one-page papers) were accepted for presentation and inclusion in the proceedings. The acceptance rates of this conference are summarized as follows:
- Total acceptance rate:62.7%
- Springer acceptance rate:60.1% (submitted to Springer digital library/EI/Scopus)
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all authors for their contributions and participation, many of whom traveled great distances to deliver valuable presentations and share their insights. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the program committee members, including the special session chairs, as well as the external referees, for their dedicated efforts and the considerable time they devoted to reviewing each paper in a timely and professional manner.
Finally, we believe each participant will enjoy the IIHMSP 2025 and have a wonderful and exciting stay in Taichung City, Taiwan.
